Job Post: Finance Manager

The ideal applicant will meet the following requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.

  • Computer literacy in various accounting /MRP packages

  • Professional qualification-professional accountant will be advantageous      

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ten years related experience in a financial/accounting environment.

  • Three years’ experience in a Financial Management position.

  • In-depth experience in budgeting/forecasting, cash flow management and costing.

  • Sound and in-depth, financial /accounting skills

SKILLS ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Honesty and integrity (being reliable and trustworthy).

  • Be able to work under pressure.

  • Ensure productivity and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective personnel management, training and development skills.

  • System maintenance and development abilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fully responsible for the financial department, including external and internal audit liaison.

  • Responsible for all financial reporting of the group.

  • Sign-off of all GL & AP recons.

  • Approve all new vendors on financial system.

  • Sign off credit notes.

  • Calculate and sign-off of bonus calculations and payments.

  • Sign-off of all intercompany balances.

  • Attend meetings on behalf of financial department.

  • Tax, deferred tax and royalty calculations and submissions.

  • Overall responsibility for all SARS matters – Public officer of all entities in Kangra group.

  • Approve and manage the financial department expenses.

  • Bank approval for all payments in two banks, Standard Bank and Nedbank.

  • Interview applicants for vacant/available positions.

  • Responsible for Kangra group insurance portfolio.

  • Responsible for the Kangra group cash flow-management and forecasting.

  • Check and approve monthly salary reconciliation and salary journal.

  • Fully responsible for the entire mine budgets for the Kangra group.

  • Sign off balances of RBCT short-term and long-term loans.

  • Develop new reports for production and finance.

  • System and accounting structure development.

  • Identify potential risk, fraudulent transactions.

  • Ad Hoc costing exercise and calculations (Buy-in Coal, Rehab, Contract-mining, projects, etc.).
