Operations
At peak production, Kangra’s operations produce over 1.4 million tons annually. The mine's remaining life, including new developments, is over 20 years.
With both Udumo and Uthingo in production, more focus will be placed on potential opencast areas that will be mined soon. The Udumo and Uthingo Adits are integral components of the Kusipongo resource, situated west of Kangra's mining operations. This resource holds a coal reserve of approximately 41.9 million tons, possibly extending the mine's lifespan by another two decades or more.
